Let's Talk Beddy's

You may remember hearing me mention Beddy's bedding awhile back when I talked about Miranda the Avion's bunkhouse remodel. 

If not here is a little recap: When we brought Miranda home one of the first things I purchased was Beddy's bedding for Maddie's bunk room. What is Beddy's? Beddy's is basically zip up bedding. Yes you read that right. The comforter and sheet both attach to the fitted sheet that wraps around the mattress. 

For Maddie I ordered the Minky version. (I really meant to order one of each and let her choose which she preferred and put the other on the spare bed... but yeah...)  We are currently on our second camping trip and this being Maddie's second time using it and there has been no complaints! She loves how soft it is plus how quickly she cam make her bed. I love it for the fact that the bedding stays on her bed and does not end up thrown in the floor. 

Where we are currently camping it is 29 degrees out. Can we say BBBRRRRRR?! Luckily it is pretty toasty warm inside Miranda the Avion but on a cold night who doesn't like an extra blanket? Well this mom failed to bring extra quilts. Lets just say this is one hunting trip I was not fully prepared for. But no worries I just unzipped the top off of the extra bed and Maddie was able to have an extra blanket. 

I like that the top and bottom can be detached - this makes them easy to wash and dry!

Ok so I have told you why I like them for an 8 year old. Now let me tell you about my personal sleeping experience. 

After our first camping trip with Miranda I decided I wanted a Beddy's for our bed also. I mean even with two adults a sheet and  a quilt seem to go everywhere when in a camper - especially because our bed is pushed against the wall. This makes it nearly impossible to make the bed and I like to make the bed every morning. So for my birthday a sweet friend dropped a hint to Dustin that I wanted Beddy's for my birthday and she was so sweet as to tell him exactly which one I wanted and to help him order it. 

I wanted our bedding to flow with the color scheme of the camper and to match Maddie's Checked Out set but I did not want Checked Out for our bedding. I wanted something separate to make it more of our own space. I choose Modern Gray and because Dustin tends to be hot natured I went with the all cotton. 

My review - the bedding is super soft! When unzipped a small part of the sheet will come out on each side so that you feel as if you are covered by "standard" bedding. The top part is heavy enough to keep us warm on these cold nights but I have a feeling they will be just as comfortable when we are camping at the beach this next summer. And I love the fact that this morning I was able to make the bed in less than a minute. No fighting with the sheet to tuck it in against the wall and then to try to get the quilt in place. 

Would I go back to normal bedding in our camper? NO WAY!

Beddy's bedding can be a little expensive. I get it. But they are all the time having great sales! {Or use my referral link to get $50 off your first order} If I had it to do over I would still buy them. And to be honest if I didn't love Maddie's Matilda Jane/Joanna Gaines bedding she has in her room I would be tempted to order her a Beddy's set for her bedroom just so she could make her bed easier.
