Canning Jalapenos Made Easy

 


What is now one of my husband's favorite things came about last year when we were overrun with peppers. I was going to make Cowboy Candy with them..... but I was full on peppers but short on time. So my husband said something along the lines of... "Hey you have some of that bread and butter pickle mix why don't you try that?"

I don't eat jalapenos.... but I love canning..... and I love my husband..... and he loves jalapenos.... so you can see where this is going.

I fondly consider myself a lazy canner because I prefer to waterbath -- who has time for in home pressure canning? Our county is blessed to have a county cannery so if pressure canning it is much easier (and quicker) to use their facility. 

This is a lazy canners easy peasy recipe for sure! 

HOW TO:

  • Wash and Slice your jalapenos 
  • Stuff your jars
  • Follow the recipe on the back of the Mrs. Wages Bread and Butter mix
  • That's it!!

Put those babies on a cracker and enjoy! Dustin likes to eat them on crackers, or with cream cheese and crackers, on tacos, and just about any other way.
