DIY Christmas Stocking Tag

We all know I love Christmas crafts! I have been wanting to make stocking tags but had not gotten around to it.

I absolutely love Monogram Moments (Link) and all her cute Christmas designs..... but I don't have a fancy printer or sublimation printer.... but that is ok! For this project I didn't break out any fancy machines just my el cheapo, ancient Canon printer.

For this project I purchased the Gingerbread Mix Alpha - I used photoshop to create my tags using the Gingerbread Alpha files but I am sure you could use Microsoft Word, Canva or any other design software.

Once I had them put together I printed my tags off on normal printer paper and cut them out. I then placed the tag over them so I could make sure to trim the name tag to fit.

Then I just used modpodge to attach it. I typically use matte but apparently a little elf didn't tighten the lid good last time we used it so it was dried out and for this project I had to go with glossy.

I then tied a cute red and white twine to the tag in place of the one that came on it and voila -- cute diy Christmas tag!

What tags did I use? These from Hobby Lobby $2.99 for 12 is not a bad deal!
